With clear bays, whitewashed houses and traces of the Lycian civilisation, Kaş and Kalkan are among the calmest and most photogenic spots on the Mediterranean. Getting there, however, takes longer than reaching Antalya’s other holiday areas.
Distance and journey time
Kaş is about 190 km from Antalya Airport and the drive usually takes around 3 hours depending on traffic. Kalkan lies a little further west, adding a few minutes. After Kemer the road follows the coast through Kumluca, Finike and Demre.
Dalaman Airport is an option too
For Kalkan and Kaş, Dalaman Airport is a common alternative; for Kalkan in particular it can be closer than Antalya. Keep this in mind when comparing flight options and fares. If there’s no set price for your route, we’ll prepare a quote for you.
Highlights along the way
- Olympos and Çıralı: south of Kemer, bays where nature meets ancient ruins.
- Demre (Myra): rock tombs and the Church of St Nicholas.
- Kaputaş Beach: between Kaş and Kalkan, famous for its turquoise water.
Tips for a long journey
- Comfort matters on a three-hour drive: the Vito Maybach VIP offers generous legroom, and the Sprinter VIP suits larger groups.
- Travelling with children? Add your break needs to the booking notes.
- For the return trip, plan the pickup time backwards from your flight with enough margin.
